Shared Branching Member Success Stories

Dupaco Community Credit Union were kind enough to send a shared branching member testimonial our way. It's always wonderful to hear the benefits of shared branching straight from the member, because after all, that's who its all about. Take a look below: Molly Finn Teller Services Dupaco Community Credit Union "I was at the HyVee branch a few Sundays ago and had a lady come to my station with a question about our ATM. She and her husband were from Northern California and were on vacation traveling around the country. She was trying to make a withdrawal from our ATM, but her ATM card wasn’t working. She handed me the card and I saw that it wasn’t a type that was compatible with our ATM machine. They were stranded in Iowa with no way to get money out of their checking account back home. I happened to look a little closer at the name of the financial institution on the card as I was handing it back to her and noticed it was a credit union, so I checked to see if they participated in shared branching, and they did! I was able to do a shared branching withdrawal for her and explained how shared branching works. She had never heard of it and had no idea her CU offered it! We were able to do a few more transactions for her and her husband before they left the area, as well as looked up other shared branching locations that would be nearby as they made their way home. Even though they weren’t Dupaco members, we were able to help them out in a sticky situation because of Shared Branching!"]]>
