You might recall that last month we announced the launch of CU Works Compliance, and that the four ladies at COMPASS 4 CUs joined our team. We'd like to introduce them to you. Up first is Kristen Tatlock, Senior Compliance Manager and national compliance speaker and trainer. Kristen is one of the best in the business - she have over 28 years of credit union compliance experience! Let's learn more about her:
"I was born and raised in the Lynchburg, VA area, and I still live in the area with my husband of almost 19 years, Tom, and our fur baby, TiKi, who is the cutest Puggle in the world. I’ve attached a picture of her – HA! Tom has 2 daughters and we have 4 grandchildren.
I am a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, having earned BA and MA degrees in Rhetoric and Communication Studies. What that really means is I like to talk …. a lot. That has served me well in my career in the credit union compliance world.
You could say that I am a pretty big sports fan. I love the Pittsburgh Steelers, a love instilled by my mother who grew up in a steel mill town in West Virginia; I’ve been to Heinz Field once and I teared up when I arrived at the gate. I am also a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan – yes, I cried when they won the World Series last year. I love UVA basketball (I cried when they won the ACC Tournament in 2015), baseball (I cried when they won the NCAA National Championship in 2015), and football (I cry b/c they are really bad right now) – Go Hoos!!! As you can tell, I cry a lot when it comes to my sports teams!
My hobbies include reading, singing, and hanging out with family and friends. I am the reigning trivia champ at a local craft brewery and can usually be coaxed into singing a few tunes on Open Mic night."
