On May 16th, the election for our newest board member was held at our 2018 Annual Meeting. We had many exceptional candidates run for our board, and we are thrilled with the outcome of the election.
We are excited to announce that Sooper CU CFO Carrie Langgard has been elected to our Board. Sooper CU has a long history as an incredible supporter of our CUSO, and Sooper CU CEO Dan Kester served on our board for many years.
On Carrie's election, CU Service Network President/CEO Doug Burke commented, "We are excited to have Carrie join the Board as she has years of valuable experience and can help us define our future. I look forward to working with her." Indeed, Carrie is a strong supporter of our Accounting Assistance service, and sees the value in outsourcing various functions to make credit unions more efficient.
Carrie has been the CFO of Sooper Credit Union since 2014 and has been in the financial industry for over 25 years. At Sooper CU, she serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and oversee the areas of Finance, Accounting, Payment Services, Information Technology and the Member Contact Center. She has worked to bring about change to Sooper CU to increase profitability, reduce operating expenses and successfully grow the organization.
Carrie commented, "CU Service Network has provided invaluable services to credit unions and our members for decades. I am honored and privileged to serve on the Board alongside the talented individuals that contribute to the success of such an impactful organization.”
Welcome to our Board, Carrie!
