Rescheduled: Accounting Fraud Seminar

May 25, 2018

We've rescheduled the Spotting Fraud In Your Accounting Processes event to make it easier for credit union accountants to attend. The event is now Tuesday, June 26.

We can all agree that fraud is awful, horrible, terrible, no good, & very bad. So, why not attend our Summer seminar and learn tips on catching fraud before it does damage, all while eating delicious Mexican food? CU Service Network CFO and CU Works Accounting head Branda Gilmore will be presenting at our Summer Education Seminar, "Spotting Fraud in Your Accounting Processes." Branda has been with us since January of 2018, but many of you may be familiar with her as she has been involved in the credit union community for years (read more about her here).

Branda will be presenting on the following topics. Questions and comments are always encouraged at our events!

  • Card  Fraud
  • Skimming & Shimming
  • Counterfeit Cards
  • Physical Card Theft
  • Data Compromise
  • RFID Readers
  • Identity Fraud
  • Internet Fraud
  • “Love Schemes”
  • Advanced Fee Fraud: “Nigerian Letter Fraud”
  • Internet Sales or Online Auction Fraud: “Craigslist Fraud”
  • Investment Fraud
  • Internal Fraud
  • Accounting Department’s Role in Fraud

This event is great for accounting executives, managers and staff alike.
